Hello there. I’ve just completed 12 new dogs driving themed small paintings on paper. These follow on from my Let Dogs Drive tee shirts (long sold out) and A3 riso prints (still in stock in several colours). The sketchbook walk through video I posted to my patreon featured driving dogs very heavily and looking through the book, it inspired me to draw more of them and lead to two batches of small paintings on paper that I’m debuting here.

There are 2 groups of pieces featuring the same subjects but using different materials and sized paper.

The first group of 6 paintings are acrylic on 250gsm paper and measure A5 (14.8cm x 21cm) priced at £180.

The second group of 6 are marker pen and watercolour and measure A6 (10.5cm x 14.8cm) priced at £100.

Here’s some information about each piece and photos of the 2 different versions of the paintings

Big Hat. On a solo pink sunset drive to wherever, this dog has put on it’s widest brimmed hat to keep the sun out of it’s eyes. The hat is way too big to get though the car door but that’s fine as it had it made to measure in the car itself. That’s some galaxy brain thinking that I fully respect.

Denim Cap. Can’t remember the last time I saw a denim cap, maybe I never saw one and dreamt it. Anyway, this dog wears it’s denim cap every single day, along with a matching denim collar. Here it can be seen taking it’s neighbour, Vibes Cat to get it’s claws trimmed and have a little bite to eat afterwards. Sounds like a good friend.

Joy Ride. Look at these 2 dudes. Electric car fully charged up and just cruising around for the fun of it. They’ve both got nothing in the diary so they’re rolling around the neighbourhood while having a nice juice or a tripe smoothie. Hang on, the driver has a denim hat as well! Knew I’d seen it somewhere else. Have a great day you kings in hats.

Kill Your Speed. Although this over excited dog’s vehicle can’t get anyway near the speed limit, it poses like it’s driving the most souped up hot rod in town to the extent that locals shout KILL YOUR SPEED at it. That leaf slowly slid off the car roof at a blistering 15 mph, never a dull moment.

Pink Cat. So dogs and cats are friends you may be thinking? Of course! It’s a myth peddled by Big Pet tm. As you’ve just seen in Denim Cap, dogs and cats are totally cool with each other. In this case the dog is driving the cat (it’s insured ) as it’s sprained it’s ankle jumping onto a moving record player. Can’t take the cat out of the cat. Kibble smoothie.

Turn Left. This dog claims to know the city inside out and refuses a Satnav in the car but always gets lost. Luckily it’s pal has a smartphone which it reluctantly takes directions from. Is that a cat in the back of the car? I don’t think they’ve seen it but I’m sure it’ll go back to sleep again and get back to wherever it came from (next-door).
