Well hello there, it's been a while since we last reached out to you lovely peeps with some news and a general update of all things Monsterism and Playbeast. It's been a heads down development period in many respects but as always, things are happening that need communicating to you guys.

On the cartoon, we are in the final stages of script writing for the new series 'Tomax & The Amazing Things', a new project from the Studio Monsterism. Tomax is the star of a new show about a group of friends who form a band and go off on a big adventure. It has all the hallmarks of a Monsterism Island project but with a new and unique flavour. More info to follow when we are allowed to make a formal announcement. It's set for a big release this year and all concerned with the show are super excited!

Pete's been busy with design work for charity projects including the Haiti Benefit Gig at the Roundhouse this coming Thursday 25th Feb and also on the charity front Fowler has been working on some T shirts for the Beaver Lake Cree's fight against the Canadian Tar Sands development as well as working on the identity for this year's ATP USA music festival. There are some new pieces coming from the Pete Fowler/ Boxfresh collaboration and soon to be 2 new canvas prints available on The Culture Label, a new webstore well worth a look.

On the Playbeast front we have just replenished stocks on most things as sales have been very strong since we added the personal touches of signed goods and sketches as well as bundle deals.

The latest addition to the Playbeast store is a new print from last year's Monsters Inked exhibition at Idea Generation, a group show headlined by Pete Fowler celebrating the modern design of Monster characters. Pete had his artwork installed on a HIGH wall, a truly spectacular sight for those who saw the show. A picture is included here that may give you an idea of scale.

The print is a slice of life from Monsterism Island, printed on matte paper and at £30.00 signed is truly worth a purchase.

New products in development stage are looking slightly outside the world of plastic figurines and into functional peices made from more luxurious materials ( did I mention porcelain? Bone China? ) watch this space for more info on unusual items!

2010 is already off to a bang, with the cover of the Daily Note, Red Bull's new daily free paper (60,000 copies!) running throughout February and new music from the Seahawks reaching out to a new a wider audience. It promises to be a funpacked and busy year ahead. Just watch out for news from Tomax and his Amazing friends on the new show and stay locked for new news about Monsterism Island the cartoon.

Keep your eye on playbeast.com and petefowler.blogspot.com for more news on future projects.

Take care and all the beast from Pete and Rob at Playbeast
